Alpine Camping
Canoe Control offers camping in a stunning Alpine location on its own secluded site near the village of Le Vigneaux. There are fantastic views of the snow-capped Ecrin Massif and and the Gyronde river runs right alongside. We have places for clients and for those who want camping only. Paddlers based at our site have unrestricted access to the river. Our campsite is suitable for individuals, families, groups and schools etc.
Our emplacements are set amongst pine trees allowing you to take full advantage of the plentiful shade. The tranquility of the site provides a restful retreat after an exciting day on the river. Because we are on the southern slopes of the Alps and only just a short distance (90 miles as the crow flies) from the Mediterranean, we receive an abundance of sunshine during the long hot summers.
Some of the other activities that can be sampled in the area include via ferrata climbing, fly-fishing, mountaineering, mountain biking, canyoning, telepheriqies (cable car), horse riding, walking, swimming and sailing.

You can charge your electric equipment at our office.
There is shopping and services at l’Agenterie la Bessee, 10 minutes away.
The area has a plentiful number of Bars and good Restaurants.
Showers are free and campers have use of tennis courts and an open air swimming pool with slide.
